Zero Skateboards x Ronnie Creager - The Blind Reaper Returns with a Twist

Zero Skateboards brought back an iconic graphic - with a twist.

I teamed up with Zero for a newly released fresh take on the classic Blind Reaper design. Instead of the original Reaper’s skull, they swapped it out for the unmistakable Zero Skull. It’s a subtle change, but it hits hard - blending two legendary graphics into one clean, sinister board.

The Story Behind the Boards

This release came about because Jamie Thomas reached out for help. To my understanding Sidewalk Distribution wasn’t interested in collaborating since the original graphic belonged to their brand, Blind Skateboards now owned by Steve Douglas. Jamie asked if I could help move the boards, and I told him I’d do whatever I could.

I drove down to Zero headquarters and BBS in Mexico to personally sign over 500 skateboards. The boards sold out in almost one day (technically two), which I’m pretty proud of.

While filming some promo clips to help push the boards, I ended up ripping a muscle in my shoulder and bicep. It wasn’t too bad, but I was bummed I couldn’t skate and film the tricks I had in mind.

Huge thanks to the entire Zero crew for trusting me with this and for writing me a royalty check. One of the rare things in skateboarding is finding people who honor handshake agreements and pay royalties without a formal contract. That money went straight toward buying my kids some cool gear and summer activities.

A small number of boards include website credit. $500, $400, $300, and $200 - along with several others that come with $100 in site credit.
